PROGRAM SURVIVING TRIP IN THE JUNGLE OF MANU THE PROGRAM CAN BE EXTENDED ACCORDING THE TIME OR REQUIREMENT OF TOURIST
DAY1.- CUSCO ANDES - PILCOPATA TOWN, LODGE
Leaving Cusco early, we will pass through the preinca Tombs of Ninamarca, the colonial town of Paucartambo known as the region’s folklore center, Acjanacu (3,530m/11,870ft) which is the entrance to the Manu Biosphere, then, we’ll descend through different ecological floors such as the puna, the elfin forest, down into the lush Cloud Forest, along the way we may see endemic flora and fauna such as, giant tree ferns and orchids, monkeys, birds like, toucans, tanagers, etc. The Cloud Forest is home of Peru’s National bird which is “the Cock of the Rock” (Rupicola peruviana) and the spectacled bear (tremarctus ornatus) -the only bear found in South America. We overnight at our comfortable Lodge. (L,D) AFTER THE FIRST DAY WE DO NOT HAVE A PROGRAM it may be like this DAY 2.- PILCOPATA TOWN - CAMP IN THE FOREST OR RIVER SIDE
DAY 3.- CAMP –CAMP
DAY 4.- CAMP - CAMP
There are places in the forest where is not possible to find the Balsa or Raft wood ( that is why we need to get a farm plate to buy this raft wood which has been already reforested, our main goal is to enjoy the nature without disturbing the nature), if we don`t find them to built the raft, we can use any other wood, but it is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS so, we take with us a small boat from Cusco, this way we just start to navegate down the river all this day if we see a good place to fish we can do it, if not we continue till to find a good place to camp and to fish.
DAY 5.- CAMP - PILCOPATA TOWN
This day we continue navegating until to get the road where we take a truck to travel back to Pilcopata town where we spend the last night in lodge (D) DAY 6.- PILCOPATA - CUSCO
We take the bus to travel back to Cusco arriving at 6 pm aprox.(B, L)
